Registered Social Worker
OCD is usually a life-long (chronic) disorder; however, as a therapist with lived experience, I have personally overcome it and so have many of my clients over the years. Common emotions that you are probably feeling are anxiety, guilt, shame, depression, anger, and disgust. Please understand that you are not alone as OCD affects 2% of the entire population.
We will first focus on reducing and ultimately stopping your compulsions, which are driving the disorder. There will be a strong emphasis on stopping the OCD rumination cycle as well as learning to process and go through many of the hidden and disguised emotions that are happening beneath the surface. We will also focus on transcending your pain into purpose.
With determination, I trust that we can fight back against your OCD together. I want to walk with you as well as provide all of the necessary tools and skills so that you can have a rich and meaningful life moving forward in your recovery and life journey. I am passionate and dedicated to helping you and your loved ones.
